Balancing work and your personal life can be difficult and you may find that you have little or even no time to yourself with the pressures that work can bring.

Do you find that family and friends are often keen to tell you how best to lead your life or what you should do?

Mental Health Foundation (2016) states, ‘The pressure of an increasingly demanding work culture in the UK is perhaps the biggest and most pressing challenge to the mental health of the general population”.

These are popular headlines for HR Departments. The impact for employers is often a lack of productivity, staff sickness and low staff morale. For the employee it can lead to stress-related illness or lack of general well-being and loss of earnings.

The impact can have other consequences. It can affect relationships, career and personal development, family life, leisure opportunities, health, fitness, confidence and feelings of self-worth.

In addition to this there are times in your life when you may feel at a ‘crossroads’ and don’t know which way to turn. Your children may have become more independent and no longer seem to need you; the job you trained hard for and made sacrifices to secure is not what it used to be; there is no job satisfaction or you have a lack of fulfillment in your life?

You may have a task, goal or aspiration but someone is getting in the way or you are your ‘own worst enemy’ and are feeling overwhelmed, under pressure or over thinking what needs to be done to achieve your dream.

If any of these issues resonate with you then Personal Development Coaching can help.

What is personal development coaching?

Most people have something in life that they want to have, do or be. Often people have tried to achieve a task, a goal or have an aspiration but cannot seem to get there. What often happens is that they use the same strategies each time they try, and then wonder why they are not working.

If you are committed and want to change something in your life, there is a solution. I can help you to be accountable to yourself.

As your Personal Development Coach I will;

  • Be committed to supporting you with your thinking and planning to achieve your goals and aspirations
  • Be non-judgemental, objective and challenge you as appropriate
  • Offer you a totally confidential working relationship as coach/client (complying with The Coaching Academy Code of Ethics)
  • Share some tools with you to challenge your thinking and to support the process
  • Help you to manage any limiting beliefs which may be hindering your progress
  • Help you to deal with any negativity that you may be feeling
  • Encourage you to think differently
  • Take into account your learning preferences
  • I will manage the time effectively to simply focus on the most important things in your life, whatever they may be.

Coaching is not supervising, advising or mentoring. I will not tell you what to do, or make suggestions or assumptions.
